A Blue Corner Notice is issued to “collect additional information about a person’s identity, location, or activities in relation to a criminal investigation”. This notice is different from a Red Corner Notice that is issued to “seek the location and arrest of persons wanted for prosecution or to serve a sentence”.

✅India and Ghana agreed to work towards the operationalization of India’s Unified Payment Interface (UPI) on Ghana’s Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GHIPSS) within a period of 6 months.
✅Both sides explored the possibility of signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on Digital Transformation Solutions and the local currency settlement system.
Significance
✅Ghana holds significance as a trading partner for India in the African region, with bilateral trade amounting to USD 2.87 billion in 2022-23.
✅India stands as one of the leading investors in Ghana, spanning sectors like pharmaceuticals, construction, manufacturing, trade services, agriculture, and tourism.

🔆China's newest aircraft carrier, Fujian, recently completed its maiden sea trial after six years of construction

✅The Fujian, officially classified as a Type 003, was launched in 2022.
✅It has a displacement of nearly 80,000 metric tons, making it bigger than China's two active carriers, Shandong and Liaoning.
✅Unlike Shandong and Liaoning which rely on less advanced ski jump-style short take-off, barrier-arrested recovery (STOBAR) systems, Fujian is equipped with a Catapult Assisted Take-Off Barrier Arrested Recovery (CATOBAR) system for launching aircraft.
✅Despite its technological advancements, Fujian, is still conventionally powered rather than nuclear propulsion

✅The 4th Joint Committee meeting for the review of AITIGA (ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement) was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia from 7-9 May 2024.
📍ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement:
✅It is a trade deal between the ten member states of ASEAN and India. It was signed at the 7th ASEAN Economic Ministers-India Consultations in Bangkok, Thailand in 2009.
✅The agreement, which came into effect in 2010, is sometimes referred to as the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement.
✅It covers trade in physical goods and products; it does not apply to trade in services. ASEAN and India signed a separate ASEAN-India Trade in Services Agreement in 2014.
