HARVEY WEINSTEIN'S RAPE CONVICTION OVERTURNED IN NEW YORK COURT OF APPEALS
It was overturned on Thursday. In a 4-3 opinion, the court found that the trial judge had erred by allowing prosecutors to erroneously admit testimony of uncharged, alleged prior sexual acts against persons other than the complainants of the underlying crimes. "The remedy for these egregious errors is a new trial,” the appeals court said.

In spite of Thursday’s decision, Weinstein will remain in prison because he was separately sentenced in February 2023 to 16 years in prison in a Los Angeles criminal case for raping an Italian model.
