“Eastertide is to live with the joyful spirit and conviction of the resurrection of Jesus. It is to have that hope against all odds, to trust in the power of the resurrection, and to glorify the Lord in all that we encounter. Easter is certainly more than a historical event for us today, because we have every opportunity to live in the spirit of the Resurrected Lord daily!”
Let us celebrate Eastertide with great intentionality, seeking to glorify Him each and every day – even when our situations seem most dire.

What next after celebrating our Lord's resurrection?
FATHER VALERIAN CHEONG explains the 50 days of Eastertide: to live with the joyful spirit and conviction of the resurrection of Jesus. The day Christians have been waiting for over the past 40 days of Lenten preparation has finally arrived: The resurrection…
“Christ’s conquest of death does not mean that we no longer die, for death remains a fitting punishment for the sins we still commit. Rather, Christ’s conquest of death means that death itself is frustrated from our utter destruction, its natural end. Instead Christ forges out of death the passageway to the hand of God, where no torment can touch us. He will lead us down this path one day, in his perfect time and not a moment before, provided that we place all our hope and trust in him.”
Death, our destruction, has been made a gift to man. And this is Easter’s joy: that death will no longer grip our hearts. For though tribulation continues to surround us, we need not fear of the coming dark knight, but can dance with joy in His radiant light!

This Death will be the Life of me!
Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?--1 Cor 15:55Christ has conquered death and put it to death. So why do we still die?No fear makes the heart quail quite like the fear of death. Every other phobia stems from this fear, and rightly…

In this vineyard of life, Jesus is the vine, and we, His disciples, are the branches, intricately woven into His divine purpose. By living a life that is close to Christ, we bear spiritual fruits that give life to others. As we abide in the unfailing love of our Risen Lord, keeping His commandment and loving our neighbours, our lives will blossom with the beauty of His teachings, spreading His light and love to all we encounter. In unity with Jesus the true vine, let us flourish and thrive, each branch contributing to the vibrant tapestry of His eternal love.

When her newborn Tabitha was diagnosed with Trisomy 21, Stephanie's world was turned upside down. The pain was raw, the questions endless.
Through caring and loving Tabitha, Stephanie learnt the value and dignity of every human person. She began to recognise God's presence in everyone, and how precious a gift Tabitha is to the family.

A Mother’s Love: Embracing Life’s Blessings
Many prioritise “earthly success” and for me, God’s call to the vocation of motherhood was certainly not how I envisioned it.

When St. John Paul II said this, he was hinting at one of the greatest strengths of our Faith: joy! But here’s the thing: life is hard. We can find reasons to despair at every corner.
So, how do we avoid “abandoning ourselves to despair,” especially in this time of celebrating Christ’s resurrection? How can we truly live the Christian message of joy every day when there are so many things to be sad about?

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we reflect on the delicate balance between the dignity of work and the dangers of idolising it.
In the life of St. Joseph, we find a shining example of this balance. Despite being a carpenter by trade, he remained deeply connected to God, receptive to His guidance, and committed to a well-rounded approach to work.

Forwarded from William Cardinal Goh
Pope Francis’ way of evangelisation is to proclaim the joy of Gospel by welcoming everyone and giving preferential option for the poor and marginalized and those struggling to be faithful to the Gospel. The Holy Father does not come just for his flock, he comes to announce the joy of the Gospel to all peoples. I hope that his visit in September will not only reignite our faith and give us a deeper appreciation of what it means to be Catholic, but also inspire us to be missionaries for Christ by collaborating with each other to bring the Good News to the ends of the earth.
We need to pray that the Holy Father’s health will permit him to make this arduous trip, and for the Lord to make the necessary provisions for an event like this that requires tremendous resources in manpower and finances. Let us pray that the Holy Father’s visit will be one that renews the faith of the people and draws those who have yet to know Christ to come to faith in Him.

It’s scorching hot these days! 🥵 Weather aside, we may experience heat in other forms – the heat of the moment (i.e. lust), stress, anger, and so on.
Just as we need water to quench our thirst and shade to hide us away from the heat when temperatures rise, so too can we adopt practices that will help us find rest from temptations to sin and hopefully, from the heat of hell! 🔥

In this 6th week of Easter, we are reminded of the immense love of the Lord for us.
This love is sacrificial; it is a love that benefits another, a love that heals another, a love that fills another. This is the love that we are called to love our neighbours with: a love not of our own, but the unreserved and unconditional love of our Lord.
How can we radiate the love of our Risen Lord in our daily lives?
Experience the joy of Easter through reflection on His Word. Download the ONE Easter Reflection Booklet!
