The Youth Print is actively participating in the 10th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-10), discussing how youth can drive sustainable development initiatives.
ARFSD-10, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and other UN organizations, aims to catalyze meaningful change.
Happening at the UNECA Conference Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from April 23rd to April 25th, 2024, the event brings together leaders to reinforce the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want.
The Youth Print contributes to the dialogue by concentrating on inventive strategies to address climate change, specifically targeting SDG 13 (climate action), along with other sustainable challenges.

Throwback Thursday to @TheYouthPrint Pre-COP 28 Ethopian Youth Gathering - Recap Video
On November 17-18, 2023, at the Sapphire Addis Hotel in Addis Ababa hosted a pivotal youth-led event, the Pre-COP 28 Ethiopian Youth Gathering. Organized by The Youth Print, Enflunecers, Eco-justice, and the Ethiopian Women and Youth Climate Assembly, this gathering aimed to empower young Ethiopians to engage in global climate dialogue and contribute to climate policy development.
Throughout the event, participants were engaged in a deep dive into the intricacies of climate negotiation and policy-making processes, complemented by a virtual presentation that offered insights into the history and strategies of climate negotiations. A special networking session provided a platform for attendees to connect with diplomats and representatives from international missions, fostering discussions that highlighted global support for Ethiopian youth initiatives in climate action.
The educational component continued with presentations by young mentees who explored topics such as adaptation, mitigation, loss and damage, and climate finance, enhancing understanding of these critical areas. A key activity was the collaborative revision of the Ethiopian youth position paper for the upcoming COP28, reflecting the collective voice and priorities of Ethiopian youth in global climate discourse.
The success of this gathering underscores the importance of collaborative efforts and the support of various partners dedicated to empowering youth and promoting a sustainable future. Last Saturday, following our reflective Post-COP 28 meeting, we were thrilled to welcome a vibrant new batch of volunteers and mentees to @TheYouthPrint family. This diverse group of passionate youths comes from a wide range of backgrounds—from Engineering and Health to Social Work and Finance.
As part of our AACJ project, we are committed to strengthening the youth climate movement in Ethiopia, and we believe that the unique perspectives of our new members will significantly enrich our efforts. We are all looking forward to a year of fruitful learning and proactive sessions on climate action.
