Why'd they change Stefan's character?
Hey so first-time watcher here, I'm on season 4 episode 8. I've noticed after Damon and Elena get together that all of the qualities that made me ship Stelena in the first place aren't even half as prominent. like idk how to explain it but it feels like they villianized Stefan's character a bit in s3 and s4 to paint Damon in a better light. it kinda makes me mad that Stelena isn't getting the fair chance they deserve.

Not counting all the supernatural stuff, what do you think was the most unrealistic thing about tvd ?
Mine: Mystic Falls high school still had students/ normal people still lived in MF. Idk did they want to kill themselves? 😭

i don't dislike Elena but i dislike her plot armour
I finally get why a lot of ppl hate Elena even though it doesn't seem fair bc she's a great person. one of the most common criticisms of her is that she makes everything about her, but she doesn't - the other characters make everything about her. Everyone's always wanting to save her, protect her, find the cure for her, sacrifice themselves and others for her. anyone who's a threat to Elena's life automatically becomes treated as a villain even if their reason for wanting to kill her is similar to the other characters' justifications for all the random ppl they've killed to help Elena. for a TV show it just gets kinda annoying and boring after a few seasons of this, even though she is the protagonist i'm getting tired of the double standards involving her. Rebekah summarised it perfectly when she said to Stefan/Matt (i forgot which one) it's unfair how everyone treated her as the villain for killing Elena when she did it to save her family which they also would've done.

Delena or stelena and why?
I like Delena way more , I used to line stelena but that was in the start of S1 .I feel like stelena is kinda boring and Stefan was js boring in the relationship, also Damon would always do what’s the right choice not whatever Elena wanted

The hatred that Katherine has towards Elena
Many say that they don’t understand the hatred that Katherine has for Elena, but it seems very realistic to me. From Katherine's perspective, Elena really did steal her life. If we think about it, since 1864, she waited so long for the doppelgänger to reappear, so that she could make a deal with Klaus. And so in the end she could be free and happy together with Stefan. But in the end, not only did Elena steal the lover she waited for 150+ years, but she also didn't have the bad luck that Katherine experienced. Here I am talking about the fact that Klaus left Elena free and did not make her a toy for his hybrid. I'm sorry, but I would so mad if I were Katherine. Imagine you’re innocent and your whole family is killed by a psychopath, which haunts you for 500 years, and then that psychopath intends to do the same things to Elena but for some reason he doesn't do anything to her and she goes on with her life like nothing happened . I'm sorry, but here we are talking about Katherine, and the hatred she has for Elena seems very realistic to me.
