My wife and I love the survival competition show “Alone.” We just found out there’s an Australian version and started watching. Unintentionally the funniest thing on TV right now. It’s basically “Alone: DEI Edition.”

Ten contestants. Two are lesbians. Two claim to be indigenous. One of the lesbians dropped out after one night. One of the indigenous guys made a big show about being in touch with nature etc and then cried and dropped out after one night. A Gen Z environmentalist guy tested positive for COVID and immediately called the med team to evacuate him. Another indigenous guy tried to eat a toxic millipede.

The American version features gritty, skilled survivalists. The Australian version was more worried about checking diversity boxes so the contestants are totally clueless, incompetent, and just crying through the whole thing. Very funny stuff. And a great cautionary tale. Highly recommend.

I'm not convince that Ole Miss frat guy really did make "monkey noises." People are making a lot of assumptions based on a 1.2 second clip. But even if he did, it would be at worst an inappropriate joke. Not worthy of national outrage. And not even close to the worst thing we've seen college students do during these protests, or at any other point.

Meanwhile, needless to say, if a black college student made racist gestures or statements towards a white kid, no one in the outrage mob would give a damn at all. We know that's true because none of these hysterical frauds say a word when whites are physically attacked and beaten to a pulp on camera. So, in summary, the people trying to ruin this kid's life can go to hell.

Yes they apparently sent the contestants out into the wilderness with COVID tests. And they start each episode with a land acknowledgment. Plus they have a bunch of woke environmental regulations that prohibit them from hunting pretty much any game. Like I said, it’s hilarious.
What do you want me to call it? A felony? A war crime? Get over yourself.

Yes a frat guy made an inappropriate joke. Oh dear God. What a scandal. Surely the first time in history.

This Kristi Noem stuff is hilarious. Apparently she recounts killing her goat in a chapter titled "Bad Day To Be A Goat." She even ends the book by threatening to kill Joe Biden's dog. I'm starting to get the impression that the book is just her maniacally bragging about killing one animal after another, interspersed with fictional accounts of meetings with various world leaders. It sounds like the most bizarre political memoir of all time and at this point I'm pretty intrigued by it.

Just finished reading "Into Africa" about the search for David Livingstone. Read any book about Africa in the 19th century and you'll be struck by how silly and false the modern western conception of slavery is.

The people who were primarily pillaging Africa for slaves were Arabs. And the Arab slave trade was kept alive by African tribes slaughtering, subjugating, and selling each other into slavery. Europeans were late to the party, and the first to leave. Yet they take 100 percent of the blame these days. It's totally absurd.

I've read a lot of books about explorers making first contact in the Americas, Africa, Pacific islands, etc. Probably my favorite subject to study. You can't help but notice that cannibalism and human sacrifice was incredibly common in these cultures all across the world. It was much more the rule than the exception. And yet we are supposed to condemn the Europeans for failing to recognize these naked primal cannibals as their absolute equals. Meanwhile we excuse the cannibalism and human sacrifice in the name of "historical context." Europeans never get the benefit of that same context. We judge them -- and no one else -- through a strictly modern lens.

I have no idea why this made the news but I’m quite happy it did

I continue to marvel at the fact that there is a massive decades-long sexual abuse epidemic in the public school system — millions of children have fallen victim to it — and yet the public has almost no interest in it and it is not treated as a major scandal by almost anyone

RFK Jr said he's in favor of killing full term infant children and the comments have provoked far less outrage than Kristi Noem killing a dog 20 years ago

The very fact that you would put this on social media is a strong indication that you are not treating your husband with even the most basic level of respect. Men will not listen if they are not being respected. He will tune you out, and you will deserve to be tuned out. Try…

She made a two minute video when it would have been quicker and simpler to just say “I’m a bad wife and a selfish person.”

I keep hearing that you need to be rich to have a single income household where the man works and the woman stays home. That's interesting because we lived that way back when we were broke and we live that way now. We've traveled up the income brackets and lived this way the…

On top of being obviously correct, Butker’s views about marriage and family are shared by a huge number of football players. Football has always been a space for predominantly religious, conservative-minded men. If you’re a woman and this upsets you, consider the possibility that…

I always love when these conversations about marriage and family crop up on this website and a bunch of people with far less experience raising children and maintaining a marriage give me lectures on the subject. 12 years of marriage and six kids but I definitely need to hear the…
