UN Under-Secretary-General For Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix stated Israeli forces in the Syrian Golan buffer zone violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Lacroix confirmed the United Nations Mission continues its vital role, noting only United Nations forces are permitted in the area under the agreement, and engagement with current Syrian leadership has enabled expanded operations. Lacroix’s statement follows escalating Israeli incursions in Bayt Jinn, Damascus countryside, and Daraa, violating Syrian sovereignty.
Director of Relations at the General Authority for Land and Sea Ports, Mazen Alloush:

"A memorandum of understanding was signed between Syria and Turkey to reactivate road transportation (transit) between the two countries, in addition to reactivating trade exchange, opening new horizons for the movement of goods and revitalizing the regional trade routes that have been suspended for many years."
