"Notice to All Jimma University Main Campus Students
This is to inform all students at Jimma University Main Campus who has received their cost-sharing for this month and those who haven't received this payment because of error on registered account number you must confirm your account number accordingly. This confirmation has been conducted last week on Friday and Saturday but many of you haven't confirmed so, this is your last call to confirm your eligible account number to student services office and if not the next month payment will not be concluded for those of you who haven't confirmed your account so, tomorrow( Wednesday, April 16) is your last chance to secure your next month payment so be present at 3:00 local time to confirm your accounts at students service office.


Therefore, students are strongly advised to avoid such unnecessary occasions and its for your own good so be present on the specified date and confirm your eligible account.

Note: Do not forget to bring copy of your bank book and ID.

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for jimma University Students. YAMG (Youth Awareness and Mindset Growth) Organize A University-Based Initiative for Peace Building in Ethiopia. With the main theme of "Hate Speech and Misinformation Short Film Completion"
This initiative will take place across five universities nationwide, with Jimma University being one of the selected institutions. As an Active Partner of YAMG the Jimma University Students' Union is Responsible for Facilitating this initiative at our University.

🎬 Introducing the "Hate Speech and Misinformation Short Film Competition" 🎬

We invite all students to participate in this engaging competition aimed at addressing critical issues in our society. Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 Participant Selection: A total of 50 students will be selected to represent Jimma University in this initiative.

🔹 Training Opportunity: Selected participants will undergo a comprehensive 2-day training focused on hate speech and misinformation. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to create impactful short films.

🔹 Film Production: After completing the training, participants will produce a short film based on the insights gained.

🔹 Local Screening: Once the films are submitted, there will be a local screening at Jimma University. From this screening, the top five films will be chosen to compete at the national level in Addis Ababa.

🏆 National Competition Awards:

💥1st Place: 150,000 ETB

💥2nd Place: 100,000 ETB

💥3rd Place: 50,000 ETB

💥4th to 10th Place: 15,000 ETB each
