💫 ELDP Launches Focus Group Discussions to Shape Educational Leadership Course in Uzbekistan

On January 1, 2024, the Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP) was officially launched in Uzbekistan by American Councils for International Education. The two-year program, funded by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, aims to improve the educational leadership skills of school administrators in Uzbekistan.

⚡️ Between February 20 - 23, a series of online and in-person focus group discussions were held with school administrators from regional schools, administrators of schools under the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creativity, and Specialized Schools, and administrators from schools in Tashkent. The focus group discussions, combined with needs assessment surveys and consultations with the Ministry of Pre-School and School Education, are intended to guide the customization of the ELDP program. The collected insights will help a U.S. institutional partner, known for its expertise in school leadership training, to develop a comprehensive two-module course to meet the specific needs and priorities of education leaders in Uzbekistan.

Dear ESN family,

We are pleased to announce that the Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP) has been launched in Uzbekistan. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and implemented by the American Councils for International Education.

Over the course of two years, ELDP aims to enhance the educational leadership skills of Uzbekistan's school administrators (school directors and deputies). As part of the program implementation, we are currently conducting a needs assessment survey among school directors and deputy directors. We kindly request your support in sharing the survey link with your school directors and deputy directors. For your convenience, we have attached a brief information text about the survey in Uzbek and Russian. Your school administrators have the option to complete the survey in Uzbek, Russian, or English. Thank you for your support.
