Scientists have discovered two new species of dinosaurs in northwest China, a region where dinosaur fossils had never been found before, according to a study published in Scientific Reports.

The study said the fossils from three different dinosaurs about 130 to 120 million years ago were found in China's Turpan-Hami Basin about 2 to 5km apart.

🔹 It is known as ‘Ponni’ in Tamil and it is the Fourth largest river of southern India.

❇️ Plastic Waste in India ❇️

🔹As much as 3.3 million metric tonnes of plastic waste was generated in India in 2018-19, according to the CPCB report 2018-19.

🔹This roughly translated to 9,200 tonnes a day (TPD).

🔹CPCB stands for Central Pollution Control Board.

🔹The Total Municipal Solid Waste Generation is 55-65 million tonnes; of which the plastic waste is approximately 5-6 per cent of the total solid waste generated in the country.

🔹Goa has the highest per capita plastic waste generation at 60 grams per capita per day, which is nearly double of what Delhi generates (37 grams per capita per day).

🔹Researchers discovered the earliest version of Pegasus in 2016.

🔹This version infected phones through what is called spear-phishing – text messages or emails that trick a target into clicking on a malicious link.

🔹In 2019, WhatsApp blamed the NSO Group for exploiting a vulnerability in its video-calling feature which secretly transmitted malicious code in an effort to infect the victim’s phone with spyware without the person even having to answer the call.
