Important Announcement: BlissOS Source Lockdown

Effective immediately, all BlissOS source code will be in lockdown. Ongoing internal changes are being made, and these updates have not yet been pushed to the repository. We strongly advise anyone currently syncing or planning to sync to halt the process immediately.

Please note that we will not be able to provide assistance to anyone attempting to build BlissOS during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Team Bliss wishes you a Merry Christmas!

Call for Contributors: Help Shape BlissOS Vanilla Builds!

As BlissOS transitions toward Vanilla builds, weโ€™re seeking skilled contributors experienced in bash scripting and/or creating flashable zips for custom recoveries or KernelSU (KSU) / Magisk modules.

If you got the skill and is interested in making one for the upcoming BlissOS updates, weโ€™d love your help in developing modular or flashable zips for proprietary components like GApps, DRM libraries, ARM translators, or other enhancements you believe would benefit the community.

What we offer:
- Access to our current development resources for testing your work.
- Collaboration to verify and officially recommend your contributions in our documentation. (If requested)
- Visibility as a trusted resource for BlissOS users. (If requested)

Interested? Reach out to @hmtheboy154 to discuss your ideas and get started!

Note: We are NOT currently accepting requests solely for testing BlissOS builds.
Just saw this on our SourceForge, and we forgot to put on a warning

Please do not sharing our SourceForge link, like.... just don't. Share our website instead. We've seen some people shared our SF on many different forums and ended up causing some confusion to newcomers:
- They download OTA zips instead of iso images (like this guy) .
- They don't know which Android version they are downloading.
- They don't know which variant (Gapps/FOSS) means.
- The green Download button & Project Activity made people mistakenly thought that the builds that we uploaded are latest which is an issue because for example if we build BlissOS 14 last, people will think that it's the only latest version we are providing right now.

Our website not only direct to the correct place to download the iso, but also have explanation for version number & variants. So please, share our website, not our SourceForge !

Hello BlissRoms enthusiasts,

After some careful planning and observation, we have finally made the decision to go vanilla entirely with no GApps being bundled from source. Users are allowed to flash their own set of GApps from popular vendors like MindTheGapps, NikGapps, BitGapps etc.

This decision was made due to the fact that repo sizes for hosting GApps has become a pain after Android 15 where our current GApps cross 9 Gigs (9.8 Gigs to be precise) and no free publicly used services with good bandwidth would allow anything higher unless we pay them for memberships, so considering that we decided to go vanilla and with this user's always have the flexibility to flash their own gapps and their corresponding add-ons from the respective vendors as well.

P.S. QPR2 has already been booted and we are in the works of getting it to you guys soon...

Happy Flashing!

Stay Blissful!

told you guys that going full Vanilla is a good idea

now have some Vanilla Ice Cream
With the EOL for Windows 10, a ton of PCs are heading to the dumpster. https://www.tomshardware.com/software/operating-systems/linux-or-landfill-end-of-windows-10-leaves-pc-charities-with-tough-choice

We just want you all to know that this is one of the reasons our project (Bliss OS) exists, so if you happen to know any PC charities, please help spread the word about our project or share our website to them (blissos.org)

Thank you all
Important Announcement: BlissOS is now in lockdown!

Hello everyone,

This is an important announcement regarding the current status of the BlissOS project. We are officially placing the project under a temporary lockdown, effective immediately.

This lockdown means that all of our community chat platforms, including Matrix, Telegram, and Discord, will be locked. Furthermore, all BlissOS websites will be put under construction.

During this period, we strongly advise against downloading and installing BlissOS. The current versions will be incompatible with a newer base that we are preparing to deploy. This means that users on the current builds will not be able to perform OTA (Over-the-Air) or manual updates to the new system. A complete reinstallation from scratch will be required.

To prepare for the upcoming migration, we highly recommend all current users to back up their data. A great tool for this is Neo Backup, which you can find here. Taking the time to back up your applications and data now will ensure a smoother transition once the new version of BlissOS is released.

At this time, we cannot provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for when we will lift the lockdown. We will be posting further updates on the situation in the announcement channels of our chat platforms. Please keep an eye on those for the latest information.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support and understanding.
